WE ARE HIRING!

Our small but growing freight brokerage is looking for an experienced, talented, and competitive Inside Sales Representative that thrives in a straight commission quick sales cycle environment. Sorry, but applicants without verifiable inside telesales or outside sales experience will NOT be considered. Experience within the freight brokerage industry is a definite plus but is not required.

The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, generating your own industrial, commercial, and manufacturing full truckload shipping prospects, and closing sales based on our overall value offered and not lowest price.

Responsibilities

  • Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, emails, and professional networking
  • Great listening skills and ability to ask the correct questions to learn shipper needs and requirements
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest utilizing online tools, internet searches, and social media
  • Expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Ensure shipping customer expectations are met or exceeded every time

Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a straight commission sales environment (commission plus bonuses - no base salary)
  • Proven inside sales experience is a must
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and learn new skills quickly
  • Confidence without an ego and leaves the drama outside the office
  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection without becoming frustrated
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including proper spelling and grammar
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
